You are more than welcome. I am grateful you love my site. It took me awhile to get my award thing for this going too, so don’t worry about taking awhile. I always enjoy when I get an award because it means I get to pass it along – that I think is the best part of these – passing along and posting links to sites that some people may have never found otherwise. I love that you called me Sugar Pie. I haven’t been called that since Hector was a pup. and a secret between you and I? When I make my homemade vanilla ice cream, I use pure cream and finely minced rum soaked vanilla beans. Nothing “vanilla” about that vanilla! :-)
        Toni

      • We received rum soaked vanilla beans for a Christmas present last year. Opening that bottle is the best aroma. How cool we can share this among other likes. I won’t snitch yours isn’t vanilla if you keep my secret, lol. Been great chatting. :-)

  5. I’m thinking of starting a new page on my blog that will direct my readers to donate to worthy causes and I’m wondering if you know how I could set that up? I could have them click on a link to donate directly to you and your rescue charity. If you have any suggestions how I could accomplish this tech-wise, please let me know!

    • Hi! I’m technically challenged and wouldn’t know how to advise you on this. Wish I could. I had a friend set up this blog site for me, if that tells you anything. It’s a really great and very generous idea you’re thinking of. Gosh, I don’t even know who I know here who has technical prowess. If there are any techie people out there seeing this can you enter the discussion? Thanks. Good luck with this. And, a big hug for thinking of doing it. :-)

I have a friend that also has written about rescue dogs, has a heart for the poor creatures, and I think you might like to meet, http://www.squidoo.com/rubys-tale tells the story. If you wish to contact him I would provide a number.
Love you site great work and caring.

    • So nice to meet you, eightdecades, and thank you for this lovely connection. I just stopped by your friend’s site and love Ruby, who looks quite famous, a poster furry kid for pits. I’ve connected with her fb page.

Although my hubby & I have predominately rescued rottweilers, a lot of our family and friends have pits that they rescued and raised and are the most wonderful addition to their families.

Thank you so much for stopping by and sharing this great site and book with me. Hope you feel free to stop by anytime.

      Paulette

youfr welcome, the site you visited is not Pat & Rubys home site, but I do have contact info on them if you would like, I just didn’t want to post it on the net

      • That is so lovely of you to offer. I can direct message them through their facebook page. And, will certainly do that and let them know you fixed us up. :-) So sweet of you to make this connection. I love meeting new animal loving friends. Paulette

      • I just posted a message to her through her fb app. Told her you did the introduction. I’ve also shared with my cousin who also saved the life of a pit, from deathly parvo, to a full grown beauty, her name is Gracie. Thank you again!
