Oscar Wilde’s unjust imprisonment sets the stage for The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap. Wilde’s imprisonment, plays throughout the six month period in which the story takes place. While in prison, he wrote to his lover, De Profundis, which inspired me throughout the writing.
