Indie Top Ten List for June 1st

WELCOME TO THE INDIETRIBE TOP 10 INDIE BOOKS as at 1st June 2013

To view this feature online please visit http://www.theindietribe.com/top-ten-indie-books-june-1st/

Two new entries in this week’s chart, a hair raising aviation tale, ONE CHANCE FOR GLORY from the Heikell Brothers and OPEN HOUSE: ARISTOCRATS, SQUATTERS & GHOSTS SHARE A CASTLE  by the Indietribe’s very own Charlie Bray (deep blushes of embarrassment).

The Top 10 is based on the number of sales and click-throughs from INDIETRIBE to Amazon in the last week. Whilst every click through does not lead to a sale, it is certainly evidence of a high level of interest, so the 10 authors should be justly proud that their books are being noticed. We monitor click-throughs and do not count multiple click-throughs from one computer.

I suppose the best way of aiming for this Top 10 list is to make sure readers keep tripping over your book in our Book Store, Showcase, Book Reviews, Author Interviews, Guest Blogs, Web Showcases, News Flashes, One-liners and Blogroll. Give your book the best chance you can.

To buy these books now, either click on the FRONT COVER to buy from Amazon.com or the TITLE to buy from Amazon.co.uk

IF YOU DO DECIDE TO BUY BOOKS, PLEASE BUY THEM WHILST YOU’RE LINKED THROUGH TO AMAZON FROM INDIETRIBE. THIS WILL HELP US TO ACCURATELY COMPILE THIS WEEKLY LIST.

Anyway, with no further ado, please welcome this week’s Top 10:

About The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap

The year 1895 was filled with memorable historical events: the Dreyfus Affair divided France; Booker T. Washington gave his Atlanta address; Richard Olney, United States Secretary of State, expanded the effects of the Monroe Doctrine in settling a boundary dispute between the United Kingdom and Venezuela; and Oscar Wilde was tried and convicted for "gross indecency" under Britian's recently passed law that made sex between males a criminal offense. When the news of Wilde's conviction went out over telegraphs worldwide, it threw a small Nevada town into chaos. This is the story of what happened when the lives of its citizens were impacted by the news of Oscar Wildes' imprisonment. It is chronicle of hatred and prejudice with all its unintended and devastating consequences, and how love and friendship bring strength and healing. Paulette Mahurin, the author, is a Nurse Practitioner who lives in Ojai, California with her husband Terry and their two dogs--- Max and Bella. She practices women's health in a rural clinic and writes in her spare time. All profits from her book are going to animal rescue, Santa Paula Animal Shelter, the first and only no-kill shelter in Ventura County, CA, where she lives. (see links below on Ventura County Star Article & Shelter) To find out more please go the The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap on facebook or Amazon or e-mail us at the gavatar addresses. Thank you. • Thank you so much! Truth be told, it still surprises me. I just hope it might help open some heart concerning intolerance and help get a few furry friends out of cages and wagging in forever homes. That’s what drives me and I think others respond to that with this book. 🙂
