Photographs and Memories

I am having a meltdown.Ā
Where are my furry friends?Ā
I wonder if they miss me as much I miss them.Ā
Ā
Hang in there, Maurice and Lucy.
The next thing you know, Iā€™m right there beside you.
Your humble human servant.

About The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap

The year 1895 was filled with memorable historical events: the Dreyfus Affair divided France; Booker T. Washington gave his Atlanta address; Richard Olney, United States Secretary of State, expanded the effects of the Monroe Doctrine in settling a boundary dispute between the United Kingdom and Venezuela; and Oscar Wilde was tried and convicted for "gross indecency" under Britian's recently passed law that made sex between males a criminal offense. When the news of Wilde's conviction went out over telegraphs worldwide, it threw a small Nevada town into chaos. This is the story of what happened when the lives of its citizens were impacted by the news of Oscar Wildes' imprisonment. It is chronicle of hatred and prejudice with all its unintended and devastating consequences, and how love and friendship bring strength and healing. Paulette Mahurin, the author, is a Nurse Practitioner who lives in Ojai, California with her husband Terry and their two dogs--- Max and Bella. She practices women's health in a rural clinic and writes in her spare time. All profits from her book are going to animal rescue, Santa Paula Animal Shelter, the first and only no-kill shelter in Ventura County, CA, where she lives. (see links below on Ventura County Star Article & Shelter) To find out more please go the The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap on facebook or Amazon or e-mail us at the gavatar addresses. Thank you. This is absolutely great… full of imaginative cat language, imagery and feline humour. I loved it. Thank you for this. Jean-Jacques Fournier

  2. I saw this and am still laughing. I am quite sure my two children Sammy and Jada have conveyed the same sentiments. Died laughing.

  4. Lovely video šŸ™‚

  5. I’ll admit it: I’m a dog person, but I have loved a few cats in my life–the rare ones I’ve known who have shown some level of personality. This was great. If all cats were like this, I would be a dog and cat person… šŸ™‚

Ha ha! This is pretty funny. I don’t have a cat, but kinda makes me want one.

    • I haven’t had a cat for over 30 years, just dogs, and being into dog rescue for most of that time with some pretty ify ones (abused and God knows what else) we stayed with just dogs, for the welfare of all, lol. I know what you mean about this making you want one… šŸ™‚

  7. Awwwwwww! poor kitties. I had to smile, this is so well done.

  8. Poor kitties. I have always had cats. Currently have one from the shelter, the weirdest looking one I have had to date but she’s beautiful to me, and so loving.

    • I bet she is beautiful. Any photos of her at your blog site? As for weird looking, we have a mix (of God only knows what) part rottie, part sharpei, part hound, and looks like part giraffe with longest legs I’ve ever seen on a dog. She’s a huge head with tiny tiny sharpei ears, and one of our dear friends, and another dog lover/rescuer labeled her, FLD (funny looking dog) but to me (& the hubby) she’s the most adorable precious girl doggy in the whole…

This is adorable. I have always been a cat person, but when my husband and I married, they had to go b/c he is highly allergic. We love our dog!
