The life of a hedgehog.

Squeak’s a movie star. If you stay with this you’ll see his first encounter with a cat, and a bottle of wine. Love this little guy, who’s getting bigger by the moment. Go Squeak!!!!!!

About The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap

The year 1895 was filled with memorable historical events: the Dreyfus Affair divided France; Booker T. Washington gave his Atlanta address; Richard Olney, United States Secretary of State, expanded the effects of the Monroe Doctrine in settling a boundary dispute between the United Kingdom and Venezuela; and Oscar Wilde was tried and convicted for "gross indecency" under Britian's recently passed law that made sex between males a criminal offense. When the news of Wilde's conviction went out over telegraphs worldwide, it threw a small Nevada town into chaos. This is the story of what happened when the lives of its citizens were impacted by the news of Oscar Wildes' imprisonment. It is chronicle of hatred and prejudice with all its unintended and devastating consequences, and how love and friendship bring strength and healing. Paulette Mahurin, the author, is a Nurse Practitioner who lives in Ojai, California with her husband Terry and their two dogs--- Max and Bella. She practices women's health in a rural clinic and writes in her spare time. All profits from her book are going to animal rescue, Santa Paula Animal Shelter, the first and only no-kill shelter in Ventura County, CA, where she lives. (see links below on Ventura County Star Article & Shelter) To find out more please go the The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap on facebook or Amazon or e-mail us at the gavatar addresses. Thank you. Such a cute little critter he is. Thanks for sharing the video we enjoyed it very much. Hugs

    • I’m so glad you got to see it, being that you’re an animal lover. He’s had a pretty miraculous entrance into life. Was found by a dog roaming in the field after being abandoned. All his siblings except his sister Pip didn’t make it. The owner of the dog rescued Squeak and Pip and sadly Pip didn’t made it but Squeak continued to thrive, loved his belly rubs and took to the bottle and then solids like a real champ. He’s now hibernating with the family till he’s large enough that come spring he can be set free. Meanwhile, he continues to entertain all his fans. 🙂

    • Hi there butimbeautiful! Squeak is living in France at the home of a lovely women whose dog found him in a field, abandoned by his mother just after birth. My friend, Kerry Dwyer, posted the original story and photos of the little guy who loved to have his belly rubbed just days into this world and on bottle feeding. I fell in love and reblogged and have been keeping everyone here updated on his amazing, and sometimes humorous, journey. I’m so glad you stopped by to meet Squeak. It’s something special. 🙂
