About The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap
The year 1895 was filled with memorable historical events: the Dreyfus Affair divided France; Booker T. Washington gave his Atlanta address; Richard Olney, United States Secretary of State, expanded the effects of the Monroe Doctrine in settling a boundary dispute between the United Kingdom and Venezuela; and Oscar Wilde was tried and convicted for "gross indecency" under Britian's recently passed law that made sex between males a criminal offense. When the news of Wilde's conviction went out over telegraphs worldwide, it threw a small Nevada town into chaos. This is the story of what happened when the lives of its citizens were impacted by the news of Oscar Wildes' imprisonment. It is chronicle of hatred and prejudice with all its unintended and devastating consequences, and how love and friendship bring strength and healing.

I loved the advice to just write – I definitely fall into the “it might be bad, but at least I’m getting something down.”
Of course, based on the number of pictures on my blog, it appears I also subscribe to the “a picture is worth a thousand words” school and sometimes rely on that for most of my daily writing.
Your voice and blog are charming and fun. Nuttin wrong with your writing. As I said in the interview, tell that critic inside your head to be quiet! We just can’t judge our own ability and putting our writing into a format or flow that makes sense is the job of the editor. Now you’re really off the hook! ‘kay moc (mom of Choppy). Have a grrrrrrreat day. ❤
You too! And I only wish I had more time for my writing. I mean, the fun kind. There is plenty of time for the work writing. But no one wants to read that (including other lawyers!).
Haha, I’ll have to show your comment to my hubby, “another lawyer.” lol Have a great day and don’t forget Choppy is invited over here to play with Max & Bella. ❤ You and me, a cuppa something. 🙂
Nice to see you over at Pat’s place for the interview. Great job! I’m always impressed by your wisdom. ❤
What a sweet thing to say. And not surprising, I feel the same about you. Thank you my dear friend for fixing me up with Pat. ❤
The pleasure was mine, Sweetie!
🙂
A Wonderful interview, Paulette. You are full of fabulous information. Congratulations on your next work. 🙂
Aww Tess, that’s so kind of you to say. Thanks. I think the next work is going to take a while, I’m just researching that time period and boy there’s a lot to chew on. Wishing you and your family very joyful happy holiday time. ❤
Yes, indeed, but I know you enjoy your work. 😀
Happy holidays to you and yours, as well, Paulette. ❤
❤

Thanks so much, Lou. I’m so happy you had a chance to see it. Makes it all the nicer to share with my friends. ❤
