Sunshine’s Found a new home
And boy is she grateful
She can finally relax during her freedom ride home
Happy dreams sweet girl
Sunshine, a one-year-old pit bull was rescued by a loving family hours from being euthanized. She is a sweetheart, good with people and other pets. And she couldn’t be happier. Now, in addition to her new collar she wears The LOOK OF LOVE.
About The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap
The year 1895 was filled with memorable historical events: the Dreyfus Affair divided France; Booker T. Washington gave his Atlanta address; Richard Olney, United States Secretary of State, expanded the effects of the Monroe Doctrine in settling a boundary dispute between the United Kingdom and Venezuela; and Oscar Wilde was tried and convicted for "gross indecency" under Britian's recently passed law that made sex between males a criminal offense. When the news of Wilde's conviction went out over telegraphs worldwide, it threw a small Nevada town into chaos. This is the story of what happened when the lives of its citizens were impacted by the news of Oscar Wildes' imprisonment. It is chronicle of hatred and prejudice with all its unintended and devastating consequences, and how love and friendship bring strength and healing.
Paulette Mahurin, the author, is a Nurse Practitioner who lives in Ojai, California with her husband Terry and their two dogs--- Max and Bella. I love this one.
❤
Same same good friend.
Happy holidays to you and yours
Aww, so nice to see you. Sending a special cyber hug to you. ❤
Sunshine certainly is a little ray of hope and happiness – Merry Christmas to you, your family, and all at the adoption centre! 🙂
Thank you so much, Joanne. Sweet words to put a smile in my heart and wishing it right back to you. ❤
Happy holidays to you and those beautiful dogs as well. The best gift is a good home 🙂
That’s so true, my friend. Nothing like a good home. She’s a lucky girl and so is the family that adopted her. ❤
She is, and that’s right, finding a good dog to join a family is a great thing. I am the proud parent to six cats and one dog 🙂 They are a lot of work, but I wouldn’t change a thing.
Sounds like a beautiful full house over at your place and boy do I understand “wouldn’t change a thing.” They’re family and enhance our lives. Give all your fur babies a hug from me. 🙂
She looks so like our darling Bunter…thank goodness for good people.
Oh, I love that you have a Sunshine look-alike, for now when I think of you I’ll think of that marvelous face. I love the name Bunter. Bet there’s a story there. ❤
Billy Bunter, the Fat Owl of the Remove at Greyfriars School….a strip cartoon in old British comics….
A greedy boy, Bunter, and the pup proved to be a hearty trencherman so the name was inevitable!
Oh that’s just perfect. I love that you came back to share this. You know I’m a fan of your writing and by now realize you don’t “label” things without much intelligent, and humorous, forethought. Big hug to you and pass it along to Bunter.
That’s one happy face! 😍
It sure it. I’m thrilled she’s been adopted, so young and so lovable. Boy is she happy now. ❤
Gorgeous pit and so very lucky- thanks to your efforts.
She sure is gorgeous, Yvonne. I just fell in love with her, so sweet and gentle. I’m thrilled she’s found a good, loving home. ❤
Warm feelings all around. So glad that you saved her.
❤
What a beautiful face – the face of freedom and contentment. It’s always good hearing about these wonderful success stories.
Happy Holidays to you and yours Paulette!
Right on about her face, Barb. The look of contentment and freedom. That is a truly beautiful sight. Happy Holidays to your and yours as well. ❤
Wonderful to hear about adoption stories.
A Merry Christmas, Paulette, to you and your family wherever they may be. ❤ Wish you health, happiness and prosperity in the New Year. ❤
Yes, I love the adoptions stories, Tess. It’s a nice heartwarming way to enter the holiday season. And wishing you and your family health, happiness, and prosperity as well in the coming new year. ❤
Thank YOU. Nice to share in good will this time of year. Too bad the world forgets the rest of the year. 😦
❤
Thank you Paulette. And from us, to you and yours, this shared peace and joy. Sharing it makes it so much more valuable. ❤
So true, my friend, so true. You sure do an amazingly beautiful job spreading good will around all year long. So grateful we’re friends and I get to be a fly on your wall. Blessings dear woman, blessings. ❤
Oh Paulette….thank you. ❤
❤
My favorite photo is of Sunshine sleeping. I don’t think you get much peaceful sleep when you’re in a shelter or on the streets.
Exactly, no rest where there’s danger or freezing uncomfortable conditions. That photo of her made me cry. So grateful for ever life saved or helped, dog, cat, or human, etc. ❤
You bring so much love to our community. Thank you for all that you do – you truly inspire us to share a compassionate spirit with our wonderful 4-legged friends. Many hugs. All the very best of this holiday season.
Oh my, Rebecca, that’s such a kind and lovely communication from your beautiful heart. A lot of what you expressed is how I feel about you, so loving and giving, and inspiring with your thoughtful posts that bring up important issues and subjects. It’s a pleasure to know you. Wishing you and yours the best of holidays and 2016. ❤
Many hugs and lots of love coming your way… 🙂
❤
I’m glad Sunshine found a home! She does look happy.
Merry Christmas to you all and a wonderful 2016!

What a confident, happy face 🙂
Happy Christmas, Paulette, from Ani and me 🙂
I know, Sue, I just love her face. So sweet. So grateful. So happy. Happy Christmas and the best of 2016 to your and Ani from me and my gang. ❤
She does look so very happy 🙂 That smile, and the others you have helped put on dogs’ faces, has to be the best of Christmas gifts 🙂 Happy Christmas to you!
Definitely is the best of gifts that keeps on giving. 🙂
The best of the Season to you and yours, Paulette. 🙂
And may the Season reach your beautiful heart with all the joy you so beautifully communicate at your blogsite. ❤

She and Jack Henry could be sibs! Merry Christmas Paulette and best wishes for an abundant 2016 from all of us at Little Dogs Laughed!
Aww, I love that. Helen Devries (see above) also mentioned she looks like their Bunter. Seems Sunshine has relatives in great homes around the world. And that makes me so happy. Wishing you and your gang very happy holidays with a 2016 filled with lots of laughter and wagging. ❤
Enjoyed the read. The little pups innocent looks can win anyone’s heart. Merry Christmas 🙂
Ah yes, that is so true about an innocent look from a pup. They are food for our hearts. So happy you stopped by to make this day all the merrier. Merry Christmas to you and yours. ❤
