THE KINDLE BOOK OF HIS NAME WAS BEN IS UP AND RUNNING ON AMAZON

The kindle book has been reformatted and is back up for sale on Amazon. For anyone who purchased the first version and wants it updated, Amazon will do this for free. The errors were not in the text itself but rather the formatting indentations. Here is the Amazon link for the book and kindle. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supports the book, which ultimately will help support a dog being rescued.

About The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap

The year 1895 was filled with memorable historical events: the Dreyfus Affair divided France; Booker T. Washington gave his Atlanta address; Richard Olney, United States Secretary of State, expanded the effects of the Monroe Doctrine in settling a boundary dispute between the United Kingdom and Venezuela; and Oscar Wilde was tried and convicted for "gross indecency" under Britian's recently passed law that made sex between males a criminal offense. When the news of Wilde's conviction went out over telegraphs worldwide, it threw a small Nevada town into chaos. This is the story of what happened when the lives of its citizens were impacted by the news of Oscar Wildes' imprisonment. It is chronicle of hatred and prejudice with all its unintended and devastating consequences, and how love and friendship bring strength and healing. Paulette Mahurin, the author, is a Nurse Practitioner who lives in Ojai, California with her husband Terry and their two dogs--- Max and Bella. She practices women's health in a rural clinic and writes in her spare time. All profits from her book are going to animal rescue, Santa Paula Animal Shelter, the first and only no-kill shelter in Ventura County, CA, where she lives. (see links below on Ventura County Star Article & Shelter) To find out more please go the The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap on facebook or Amazon or e-mail us at the gavatar addresses. Thank you. I’ve started reading the book (Kindle) and so far, haven’t come across any problems with the formatting. Loving the book so far, and I wish you well with it.

    • Aww, you made my day. If you come across anything distracting Amazon will replace it for free. They’ve already done a couple. I’m so excited to share this with you, my dog loving buddy. Tazzie’s a featured character (the rottie girl I had for over 15 years, one of the great loves of my life). Hope you enjoy. πŸ™‚

Just got back… hope your new book is selling well for both its talented author and her cause.

    • Welcome back, JJ. It’s so good to see you pop up over the cyber horizon. The kindle’s been selling and made it to #12 (in its category: health/wellness, cancer stories) for the 3rd week running in the Amazon book store. I’d have to sell a whole bunch of them for it to amount to much being given to the dogs but every little bit helps and it’s about the energy and also promoting to help increase awareness of the plight of so many dogs being needlessly put to sleep. Promoting is never easy, and certainly not for the weak of heart, but I keep hoping that in some small way what I’m doing does help dogs. That keeps me at it when I’m pooped.

Wishing you, Marianne, and your fur babies well. Big hug to all and a happy weekend. ❀
