Squeak today. Eating live food.
Message to me from Kerry Dwyer:
He is still going strong and now on live food. Unfortunately it doesn’t look as though he will make the 600 grams he needs to be to go out, before winter sets in. He may have to hibernate in the house.
Few weeks back. In the cream cheese. That was the day after he landed in a bowl of pasta and was covered in tomato sauce.
Shortly after discovered in a Paris field by a neighbor’s dog. His sister, Pip, alive then didn’t make it.
ORIGINAL POST THAT I REBLOGGED: (photos of Pip & Squeak when first rescued and the dog who found them) http://kerrydwyer.net/2013/09/02/mrs-tiggywinkle-your-babies-are-doing-well/
Big cyber hugs to all who helped save this adorable life.
About The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap
The year 1895 was filled with memorable historical events: the Dreyfus Affair divided France; Booker T. Washington gave his Atlanta address; Richard Olney, United States Secretary of State, expanded the effects of the Monroe Doctrine in settling a boundary dispute between the United Kingdom and Venezuela; and Oscar Wilde was tried and convicted for "gross indecency" under Britian's recently passed law that made sex between males a criminal offense. When the news of Wilde's conviction went out over telegraphs worldwide, it threw a small Nevada town into chaos. This is the story of what happened when the lives of its citizens were impacted by the news of Oscar Wildes' imprisonment. It is chronicle of hatred and prejudice with all its unintended and devastating consequences, and how love and friendship bring strength and healing.

So cute and really great news he’s thriving. 🙂
Yes and yes.
Looks nice and healthy. Eating live food. Wondering what it was that was alive before he ate it. 😦
Looks like a worm in the photo. Other than that, I dare not ask, lol. He’s a sweet success story since being found by a dog. 🙂
Funny what we notice in pictures or blogs. The cream cheese and pasta just didn’t seem as interesting. Yes, a happy ending.
Yes, that’s a whole interesting topic, things we notice. 🙂
Wonderful news! Keep thriving, Squeak! 😀
Yes!!! 🙂
Shame he won’t make the weight to go out now but goodness he’s cute and has a very lucky streak!
He sure is cute and lucky says it! He probably won’t make the weight as it’s nearing winter and I doubt they are going to want to chance it after all this. It’ll sure be something, the day he makes independent freedom. 🙂
I just love stories like this one Paulette. Heart warming and feel good. Connecting with life in the very best of ways. Thank you for sharing, my friend! 🙂 xx
My pleasure. Agree with you completely. Food for our hearts. I just love this one for so many reasons: the little guy is making it, the wonderful people who are helping him, the dog who found him and is his new sibling, and all of us who get to smile along on the ride as he lands in tomato paste and cream cheese. 😉
Yes, exactly! 🙂
🙂
Paulette, It is wonderful to hear he is doing so well. I know your inner mother hen is working overtime and at overdrive speed. Take care, Bill
Yeah, that inner chickie inside of moi does her own thing, lol. The little guy’s receiving a lot of good cheers from all over the world. I just love that. 🙂
He is doing it very well ,let us hope the story ended succesfully.
Yes, hoping continues until he is set free, when that time comes. Happy to have you wishing him well. 🙂
This little “H-H” is so dang cute. Just like a “bug in a rug.” His adopted mama has really taken excellent care of him/her. Don’t know if this little-un is a he or she. 🙂
Regards, yvonne
Seems he’s been deemed a he but not sure if that’s fact or guess. No question though about him being so dang cute. He sure is. 🙂
He will have a warm, cosy place for the winter!!! 🙂
Isn’t he lucky. So many will be cold this winter and our little friend, Squeak has it made. He’s one lucky little hedgehog. 🙂
It made me feel good to read this post – thank you!!! 🙂
Me too! 🙂
Such good news to hear that Squeak is still thriving and progressing well; he does look good. His weight will improve but if not enough to set him free before winter, as you say, he can hibernate in the house; he will be fine.
He’s certainly has angels taking care of him. Fingers crossed we continue to watch him do well and make it to freedom when the time is right. 🙂
I wonder how interesting Squeak’s world seems to him. Imagine us living in his world and trying to adjust……we probably wouldn’t do as well. I don’t want to eat live food.
Interesting question and perspective. I think you’re right he’s doing better than I would. 🙂
🙂
That Squeak IS happy because he’s smiling in the picture (OMG) and licking the wine bottle. People, what are you teaching this little guy? ;-D
Hi is smiling in the photo of licking the wine bottle. I wonder if there’s a hole in the bottle, lol. His antics are too cute. 😉
Too cute!
What a cutie!
Yes, he’s adorable. And, it antics are very cute as well. 🙂
Let’s hope he is able to gain enough weight for the hibernation…(fingers crossing)…
Happy October, my friend!
May this month be filled with joy and wondrous news for you and your loved ones!!
Take care and be well, always~ Cheers!! 😀
The way he’s eating he’s got a good chance of gaining weight but winter’s approaching in parts where he is (France) and it’s looking like the little guy will hibernate among pasta, cream cheese, and wine.
Many warm wishes are returned to you that your October is blessed.
Hugs & more hugs, 🙂
Wow…what a great place to hibernate…LOL…
Thank you for your warm blessings too, my friend!
Cheers!! 😀
You made me laugh with your comment about what a place to hibernate. This little guy has it good and fingers crossed he’ll continue to thrive and grow to make it to freedom come spring. Always a pleasure to have you drop by. Have a great weekend. 🙂
Explicit post ,Every creature deserves human kindness..So nice to see him doing fine.My regards.

Lovely of you to keep his story going
I’m glad he’s doing well. The cream cheese looks nice, but I’m not so sure about the live food, BOL!
Max & Bella agree with you on all counts. 😉
Perhaps it’s time to rename “Squeak” to “Roar!” 🙂
Haha, good one! Roary! 😉
Awwww how cute!!!
Isn’t he! He’s one lucky hedgehog and so much fun to follow with all his antics. 🙂
Good hedgehog, cutie pie…
